This is the application design for my masterproject: electronique.
It's going to be a flash-based music player where you can vote for tunes.

It's still in development, should be finished in a couple of weeks.

Maybe a fancy play/stop button is handy in this case? I've no idea if you thought about that already, but seems to to missing here.

Also, both designs are very different. (I like this one more)

But it looks promising, can't want to see more of this :)

This looks very usable and stylish, fantastic design.
You should implement a rollover system over the covers for voting, etc. :)

Js with a SQLite database then ;) plus you definitely do need play/pause/stop and volume control

JS would have no advantage what so ever and would only make it harder to scale ( graphically.. to huge resolutions f.ex )

There's no need for play pause stop en volume control, since you can only listen to a 30-sec sample of each song.

This is a platform developed to use during a party.
With huge touchscreens and headsets.
It's not like any other mediaplayer ;)
